The main objective of the project is development of cross-border tourism through better use of historic buildings to promote the cultural and historical heritage in Olecko and Oziersk. One of the historic buildings is situated in Olecko District, which is not fully used due to its condition. A similar situation takes place in Oziersk, where the buildings of former barracks are hardly ever visited. The planned renovation of the historic castle in Olecko and development of the area of the former barracks in Oziersk will make these places more attractive for tourists. The partners will jointly prepare an exhibition of interesting tourist objects that will be promoted on both sides of the border. Also, jointly prepared promotional materials and publications will serve this purpose.
