Project idea (in English)

The project is dedicated to project documentation development for restoration of 5-6 illegal dumps on the territory of the Kaliningrad region. The project activities are aimed at creating necessary conditions for reducing the negative environmental impact in the Programme area. First of all, the indicated issue is addressed towards surface water and ground water of the Baltic Sea region, air quality and the provision of favorable sanitary and epidemiological conditions in the locations of unexploited dumps and landfills. Also, the project activities foster cross-border cooperation and specialists collaboration in the field of waste management, involved in the implementation of the project. The educational component that will accompany preparation of the project documentation will increase the environmental awareness of the communities on both sided of the border.
