On 8-9 April 2019, the 5th European Congress of Local Governments was held in Kraków. More than 2 thousand participants from all over the world took part in the event.
The purpose of the event was to exchange views on the current economic, political and social situation in the world among local leaders, regional elites, representatives of governments, businesses, culture, NGOs and media from Central and Eastern Europe.
The programme consisted of seven thematic tracks, with more than 80 events: thematic blocks, panel discussions, workshops, lectures, presentations and awards ceremony.
On 8 April 2019, participants of the Congress had the opportunity to take part in the thematic block „How to Create the Local and Regional Identity?”. Mr Leszek Buller, Director of the Center of European Projects was the special guest of the History of Success led by the senator Grzegorz Napieralski.
During the event, the promotional stand of the Poland-Russia Cross-border cooperation Programme 2014-2020 was organized, and the employees of the Center of European Projects provided the congress participants with information and promotional materials on the Poland-Russia Programme.
