On 12-13 June 2019 in the Polish Baltic Philharmonic in Gdansk, the 10th Annual Strategy Forum of the European Union for the Baltic Sea Region, took place. It was hosted by the Office of the Marshal of the Pomorskie Voivodeship together with the Baltic Sea States Subregional Co-operation in close cooperation with the European Commission and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland.
The main issue of the Forum was “circular economy”. The main mission statement was: "Reduce, Reuse, Rethink"!
On 12 June 2019, participants of the Forum had an opportunity to take part in the seminar "Industrial symbiosis as the key to circular economy in the Baltic Sea region", organized by the Joint Secretariat of the South Baltic Programme, Joint Technical Secretariat of the Poland-Russia Cross-Border Cooperation Programme 2014-2020, Öresund-Kattegat- Skagerrak and Central Baltic Programs. The panel was moderated by Prof. Jan Hupka from the Gdańsk University of Technology. The first part of the seminar was devoted to the presentations, including the Polish-Russian cross-border cooperation in the region of the Vistula Lagoon and the Baltic Sea. During the second part of the seminar, a discussion panel with the experts took place.
