POLAND-RUSSIA Cross-border Cooperation Programme 2014–2020
On 3-5 September 2019, the 29th Economic Forum was held in Krynica-Zdrój. About 4 thousand participants from all over the world took part in the event ‘Europe of Tomorrow. ‘Strong’ Meaning What?‘
The purpose of the Forum was to exchange views on the current economic, political and social situation in the world among heads of government, ministers and parliamentarians, presidents of the largest companies, experts, local and regional governments, representatives of the world of science, culture and the media.
During the second day of the Forum, the Center of European Projects organised a discussion panel ‘Environmental protection in cross-border areas’. The panel was moderated by Mr Andrzej Słodki, Head of the Joint Technical Secretariat of the Poland-Belarus-Ukraine 2014-2020. Among the guests of the panel there were beneficiaries who implemented projects within the cross-border cooperation programmes and Mr Leszek Buller – Director of the Center for European Projects. The Poland-Russia Cross-Border Cooperation Programme 2014-2020 was represented by Ms Beata Sokołowska – Mayor of Biała-Piska, who told about experience in implementing the project with a Russian partner.
Then, a discussion panel about Polish-Russian cross-border cooperation including the current situation and development prospects was held. Ms Katarzyna Maria Bartnik – Head of the Joint Technical Secretariat of the Poland-Russia Programme 2014-2020 took part in the discussion.
During the whole event, the employees of the Center of European Projects provided participants with information on the cross-border cooperation programmes, including the Poland-Russia Programme 2014-2020, at the promotional stand in the Main Pump Room.
