POLAND-RUSSIA Cross-border Cooperation Programme 2014–2020
On 26 February 2020, the first meeting of the Joint Programming Committee for the preparation of the new edition of the Interreg Poland-Russia 2021-2027 Programme, was held in Kaliningrad.
Before the meeting, on 25 February 2020, a study visit to the Museum of the World Ocean was organised for the participants. The Museum is the lead beneficiary in one of the twelve regular projects approved within the Thematic Objective "Heritage". The project '2 Ships – Common Sea. Soldek and Vityaz: Maritime Heritage of Poland and Russia', involves two partners from Russia – Museum of the World Ocean and the Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University in Kaliningrad, and one partner from Poland – National Maritime Museum in Gdańsk. The participants of the study visit learned about the implementation of the project and visited the ship Vityaz where the renovation works had been carried out as part of the project.
The next day, the members of the Joint Programming Committee met to work on the future Programme edition of the Interreg Poland-Russia 2021-2027 Programme. The meeting started with the approval of the Rules of Procedure of the Joint Programming Committee. Then the results of a survey about the future of the Programme were presented. The survey had been carried out among the Programme stakeholders, in order to find out their opinion about the future edition of the Programme. Over 200 participants took part in the survey. The future directions of the activities within the new Programme were discussed and agreed.
