It is our pleasure to invite you to the workshop “Let mayors speak of neighbourhood” jointly organised by the seven cross-border cooperation programmes (CBC) involving Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Russian Federation and Sweden in frame of the European Week of Regions and Cities 2020.
The workshop aims to highlight the importance of cross-border cooperation on local and regional level by showcasing concrete examples of long-lasting collaboration between the local and regional authorities in various thematic areas, such as Economic development, Environmental protection, People-to-people cooperation, Border management, transport and infrastructure. Four mayors from the participating border regions will join the workshop to share their successful stories of cooperation in CBC projects and beyond. The workshop will showcase how CBC projects can generate not only tangible outputs and results, but also build long-lasting relations between local and regional authorities across the European Union, Norway and Russia.
