The Annual Event of the Programme, dedicated to the projects implemented within the thematic objective “Accessibility” took place yesterday. Due to the pandemic situation, the Annual Event "Accessible and safe borderland" was held online. Despite its different form, the webinar attracted a lot of interest. About 90 attendees took part in the meeting, including representatives of Polish and Russian national, regional and local authorities, non-governmental organisations and research institutions.

During the webinar the welcome speeches of the representative of the Managing Authority of the Programme from Poland and the representative of the National Authority of the Russian Federation were provided. The event served the opportunity to provide participants with information about the state of the play of the Programme’s implementation and information on the preparation of its future edition for 2021-2027. Representatives of two Large Infrastructure Projects presented information about the projects, showing the state of play of works already completed. A discussion panel with the beneficiaries of projects, approved within the TO ‘Accessibility’ from Poland and Russia was also organised. The participants of the discussion panel told the audience about the activities, which they are implemented within the project and what are the benefits of cooperation with a partner from Poland/ Russia. At the end, all the beneficiaries told us that they would like to continue cooperation established with a partner from the other side of the border.
