POLAND-RUSSIA Cross-border Cooperation Programme 2014–2020
On the 6th of December, 2021, representatives of the Joint Technical Secretariat of the Poland-Russia Cross-Border Cooperation Programme 2014-2020 participated in the European Congress of Local Governments in Mikołajki. The event was held within the slogan ‘Europe after the pandemic: How to rebuild the local economy?’. Among the most important topics discussed during the panels, there were cross-border cooperation, financing regional development, smart solutions and creating favorable conditions for investment.
The discussion "Regions in the new financial perspective" was moderated by Mr Leszek Buller, Director of the Center of European Projects. Among the guests of the panel, there were Ms Monika Falej, Member of the Polish Parliament, Mr Miron Sycz, Deputy Marshal of the Warmiansko-Mazurskie Region, Mr Marek Woźniak, Marshal of the Wielkopolska Region, Mr Marek Sowa, Member of the Polish Parliament and Mr Tomasz Korczyński, Head of the PPP / Infrastructure Dentons in Warsaw.
During the discussion panel, many different topics were talked through, among others, issues related to the assessment of the passing financial perspective, the possibility of using the future financial perspective to solve social issues, and pros and cons of public private partnership.
