The main objective of the project is to limit the degradation of the environment by creating and reconstructing the sewage infrastructure on both sides of the Polish-Russian border area.
The project infrastructure activities on the Polish side will be conducted in the village of Jamielnik (Nowe Miasto Lubawskie Municipality). They cover the construction of a sanitary sewage system with the total length of 2.59 km and a sewage treatment plant. On the Russian side, a sanitary sewage system with the total length of 2.96 km will be constructed in Sovetsk. Moreover, it is also foreseen to construct a new sewage station as well as to reconstruct a sewage pumping station in Sovetsk.
These actions will directly contribute to the main project objective and will improve the living conditions of the inhabitants. Additionally, the implementation of the project will contribute to strengthening cross-border cooperation between the Polish and Russian regions in the protection of natural resources management.
