The main objective of the project is to promote natural and historical heritage of Svetlogorsk City District Municipality Administration and Szczytno District area through development of cross-border tourism. The main part of the plans, related to investments, aims to create and modernize tourism product strongly connected with preservation and promotion of natural and historical heritage in both regions. The main activities planned within the project include the construction of a 22.7 km bicycle path, which will run along the railway embankment in District. On the Russian side, the park ‘Larch’ in Svetlogorsk will be modernised, with the installation of a central summer art stage with appropriate equipment. The results of this initiative will be promoted by joint sport and cultural events, covering important connection between people.
